Our commitment
FT Care Agency is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all adults receiving our care, and to preventing abuse, neglect and exploitation. As a CQC-registered provider, safeguarding is central to how we operate.
Who this policy protects
This policy applies to all clients receiving care from FT Care Agency, particularly adults who may be at risk due to age, illness, disability, or other vulnerabilities.
Our safeguarding principles
- Empowerment — supporting individuals to make informed choices about their own safety
- Prevention — acting before harm occurs wherever possible
- Proportionality — responding in a way that reflects the level of risk
- Protection — providing support and representation for those most in need
- Partnership — working with local agencies to prevent and detect safeguarding concerns
- Accountability — being clear about our safeguarding responsibilities
Staff recruitment and training
All carers employed by FT Care Agency undergo an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and receive safeguarding training as part of their induction, with ongoing refresher training thereafter.
